In various parts of the state there were reported incidents of sporadic gunshots, snatching of election materials and general voter apathy. In Buguma, Asari- Toru Local Council, election had started peacefully when suddenly thugs stormed the community, carting away election materials for Ward 1, 7, 8, 9 and 10. Similarly, political thugs also snatched election materials in Ward 18 of Khana Local Council. But in Gokana Local Council, materials arrived several wards before 8am and in most cases, accreditation and voting started peacefully before 9am. The suspected thugs successfully carted away voting materials for wards 2 and 3 and abducted the presiding officers and APO 1 for the area.
